Content Marketing Assistant

We are looking for a dynamic Content Marketing Assistant to join our busy marketing team, working primarily on equestrian brands, Horse&Rider and PONY Magazine. Creating memes, Instagram reels and e-newsletters will all be in a day’s work for this exciting role. The right candidate will be as comfortable writing a 500-word coffee-break style feature as they are filming and editing video for YouTube. We are looking for someone who has:

A wealth of equestrian knowledge
Excellent English and attention to detail
The ability to work to tight deadlines
Great organisational skills
Experience of using multi-media software

This is a full-time, permanent position with an element of flexible working, but you should be prepared to travel to our offices in Farnham, Surrey. Candidates must have a full driving license.

Editorial Assistant – equestrian portfolio

Are you passionate and knowledgeable about horses, enthusiastic, organised and full of ideas for great content to excite readers?

We have a vacancy for someone to join our small, friendly, highly motivated team, primarily working on PONY Magazine, the UK’s best-selling horsey teen magazine. You will get involved in all aspects of editorial work, from filing and picture research to running photoshoots and writing features. The right candidate will have:

Freelance writers – DJ Murphy Equestrian Portfolio

DJ Murphy (publishers) is an award-winning independent publishing house. We’re seeking to expand the pool of freelance writers working across our equestrian portfolio, in particular our best-selling monthly titles Horse&Rider and PONY.

We’re looking for writers with creative flair and plenty of great ideas. You’ll need excellent equestrian knowledge to share with our readers and a passion for creating compelling, fun, accurate content in our tone of voice.

We welcome work experience applications from students post A-level. Successful applicants can expect to work across our full range of brands within the editorial and marketing departments. Placements are for one week. Apply as far in advance as possible, decisions will be made on summer work experience placements by the end of March.
